Government Information Service

Office of the Government Information Service

The Queen’s Office does not have any public information duties and therefore provides no information about the Queen or other members of the Royal House. This is the responsibility of the Government Information Service. Only in the case of government formations does the Office publish communiqués, for example about instructions to informateurs and formateurs, which are then distributed by the Government Information Service.

The Government Information Service is part of the Ministry of General Affairs. It provides information about the Royal House and acts as spokesperson for the Queen and the Prime Minister.
