Ministers

The Office is part of central government and serves as a link between the Queen and her ministers. The principle of ministerial responsibility applies in full. The director has a duty to inform the responsible ministers. The Prime Minister has primary responsibility for matters involving the position and functioning of the Head of State, and for the management of the budget of the Office. The Office's record-keeping duties come under the responsibility of the Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
