Petitions

The frontdoor

Petitions by members of the public to the Queen are dealt with by the Office, which informs the Queen of the contents of the petition and passes it to the appropriate minister or state secretary. The petitioner is notified accordingly. The minister concerned then deals with the petition and informs the Office.
